How due dates are counted
Net terms count calendar days from the invoice date, weekends and holidays included. An invoice dated March 3 on Net 30 is due April 2. “Due on receipt” means payment is expected as soon as the client gets it.
Write the actual date on the invoice as well as the terms. “Due April 2” leaves no room for a client to count differently.
